# Does the Dust Cover need to be on the Dp DOCK for the pen to be recognised?

No, The Dp DOCK Dust Cover does not need to be placed over your docked device in order for it to be recognised.  

The Dp DOCK Dust Cover is however recommended to be placed back on the Dp DOCK after you have placed a device on as it will help keep your device clean after you have sanitised it.
