What does the button at the top of the page with my initials do?

The icon at the top of the page with your initials is just an indicator of the User Account you are currently signed in to.

The initials here will match the first name and last name provided when creating your User Account. 

If you want to change your name on your account go to the Account tab and press 'Edit Account'
