# What is Bluetooth Mode?

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that uses a radio frequency to share data over a short distance, eliminating the need for wires. 

When your DermapenWorld device is in Bluetooth Mode the LCD screen will display the Bluetooth symbol. When this symbol is displayed your device will be able to connect with the DermapenWorld app and the Dp DOCK.
